Make a moment this Spring and Summer to experience the natural landscape with a 2-night coastal stay and guided walking experience on the North or South Downs by foot. Working with expert leaders from Pied a Terre Adventures, you will learn all about the fascinating history and geology of the area, listen to the birdsong, enjoy the fresh air and take in the absolutely stunning views of patchwork fields, rolling hills, ancient woodland and quaint villages. This unique half-day walking experience will culminate in a delicious locally sourced luxury picnic to saviour whilst looking out at the beautiful scenery.

Venture out by car to meet you guide at 11am
The day features half a day of walking, over hills, hop and heathland*, culminating with a delicious luxury picnic full of scrumptious local produce at one of the best viewpoints in the Park. Your expert, qualified guide will lead the way and provide you with a fascinating insight to the local area
Head back to the hotel after your day and put your feet up, relax unwind and dine at your leisure.

What happens if the weather is bad?
The Downs Walk will operate in most weather and is rarely cancelled. The Weather will be checked 5-7 days prior with a final decision based on conditions made no later than 48 hours in advance. Should a pre-booked or private tour be cancelled, guests will receive a full refund, or have the option, depending on availability, to move to the next scheduled date.
Why would I book a private group experience?
These are ideal for groups of friends, a family or two families combined looking for their own private experience together. Also, perfect for a landmark moment like a proposal or special occasion such as an anniversary or gift idea.
I’d like to join an existing group, which option is best for me?
Book on one of the pre-scheduled dates where you will be with other guests in a group environment.
Where is the meeting point with the guide?
The tours leave from the Amberley, South Downs (a 30 minute/13 mile drive) or Haslemere, North Downs (a 50 minute, 26 mile scenic drive) from the Beachcroft Hotel, your meeting location along with a kit list will be provided by Pied a Terre Adventures.
Is car parking available in the national park?
Yes, car parking will be available and is free. Information on this will be provided once you have confirmed your booking.
