Is this off-road ride for me?
This is a day of real mountain biking – with climbs and descents on off-road trails. If your off-road cycling experience is limited, you should probably be cautious about whether this is right for your current level. If you’ve ridden on off-road tracks before, you’ll be familiar with the skills you’ll need for the gravelly climbs and the fun bumpy downhill parts – and our expert guide is there to remind you.
If you have good cycling fitness, a sense of adventure then this ride will be a good fit for you. But if your expectation of cycling is for something generally sedate, relaxed and road-based, this adventurous day may not be right for you – yet. Should I stay for 2 or 3 nights?
That’s totally your choice! If you stay for 2 nights then you have a late check out to 3pm on the day of departure which will allow you enough time to arrive back from The Beach Littlehampton, freshen up, pack your bags and go! However, if you are looking to linger longer after all the activities we encourage this, this last night will allow you to relax before departing the next day.
What should I bring for the activities?
Clothes suitable for the weather and activity. For example, shorts or trousers with layers and waterproof or lightweight jacket for mountain biking. Please bring suitable footwear for paddleboarding, either wet suit shoes or an old pair of trainers you don’t mind getting wet. Don’t forget your swimming costume and trunks! (Please note a wet suit will be provided for paddleboarding)
What type of bike will I be riding?
You will be riding a mountain bike, however some e-bikes are available for an additional fee of £15 per bike. Please request an e-bike at the time of booking to secure its availability.
What’s Included on the package?
Your accommodation of choice, dinner on the first evening at Tamarisk to a value of £30 per person, pizza and side dinner on the 2nd night, breakfast each morning. Your full guided activities led by experts including all equipment and transportation.
What’s not included on the package?
Lunch isn’t included on each day. Lunch will be available to purchase at a quintessential Sussex location for lunch and The Beach Littlehampton. If you choose to stay the third night, then dinner is not included but this can be purchased separately. Drinks are not included throughout the retreat.
Can I bring my children?
We can offer family mountain biking and paddle boarding experiences, please request at the time of enquiry to discuss a bespoke package for your requirements.
Do you offer group bookings?
Yes we do, we can cater well for groups of friends as well as corporate and team away days. Please request at the time of enquiry to discuss a bespoke package for you.
Can I bring my partner?
If you’d like to join the active break but your loved one does not, then do not fear we have that covered. Just let our team know at the time of enquiry.
Are Solo travellers welcome?
Absolutely! We have a separate pricing for those traveller solo. Just let our team know at the time of enquiry and they will provide you with the relevant information.
Book With Confidence
A non-refundable deposit of 50% per person will be requested at the time of booking. The remaining balance of 50% will be due 28 days prior to arrival.
Cancellation policy is 28 days prior to date of arrival.
If you cancel within this time cancellation charges will be incurred.
Group sizes are a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 8, in the rare event that the minimum numbers are not meet the hotel has the right to reschedule or cancel the retreat, in this instance a full refund will be provided.
If you are a solo traveller, please speak to the hotel about room and rate options.
